Online Centralized Admission 2023-2024

(Semester–I of B.Com/BBA/BCA/B.Sc. Medical/ B.Sc. MFT B.Sc. Non-Medical/B.Sc Computer Applications)

Apply in the Centralised Courses

Students should visit any of the links given below (and fill form) for Centralized courses(BCom, BBA, BCA, BSc-Non Medical, BSc-Medical, BSc-Computer Application : Semester 1), they are interested in applying. They can apply in more than one course also. For this, they are required to click the relevant link and fill the respective form. Seats will be allotted subject to the availability of vacant seats in the respective courses.

Seats will be allotted subject to the availability of vacant seats in the respective courses after the admission process is Inter-Pool dereserved by The Director Higher Education (DHE), Chandigarh Administration.

Note : As per DHE instructions, first merit list (At College Level) will consider those students, who have applied with in 14th September to 16th September 2021 by 1.00 pm through Google Form and had already filled DHE Form. Rest of the candidates will be considered as per instructions issued by DHE from time to time. First Merit list will be displayed on 17th September.

Note :
Fresh applications for admission are invited for BCA and B.Sc. (Medical, Non-Medical and Computer Applications) through their respective Google Forms links as given in the following Table. Seats will be allocated on merit basis from the applications received daily by 2:00 pm. Candidates have to confirm the seat by paying admission fee + Late fee as per PU rules on the same day.

After applying in a course by clicking one of the links given above, the Applicant should check merit list on 17th September, 2021. The candidates having their name in merit list will receive an e-mail and/or SMS (within 24 hours) from Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh. This e-mail will contain Applicant’s e-mail ID as User ID, Password and Online Form No. of the College. In case you do not receive this email or SMS, either e-mail at mcmadmissionexambranch@mcmdavcwchd.in or contact us on the helpline numbers given on the website.

After receiving e-mail/SMS, a candidate is eligible to pay the Admission Fee.

Note: Admission Fee is to be paid within 24 hours of receiving e-mail/SMS to confirm your seat in the College.

After Payment, follow instructions given in step2 under “Admission & Fee Instruction” Tab

Prerequisite: Online College Admission Form is to be filled only after Allotment of Seat in Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh through DHE Portal (www.dhe.chd.gov.in) for Online Centralized Admission Courses.

Steps to get admitted to Online Centralized Admission Courses in Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh

Step-1: Confirmation of Seat (https://admissions.mcmdav.com/stulogin)

After being allotted a seat at the DHE portal (www.dhe.chd.gov.in) for Centralized Admission Courses , the Applicant should wait to receive an e-mail and/or SMS (with in 48 hours) from Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh. This e-mail will contain Applicant’s e-mail ID as User ID, Password and Online Form No. of the College. In case you do not receive this email or SMS, either e-mail at mcmadmissionexambranch@mcmdavcwchd.in or contact us on the helpline numbers given on the website.

After receiving e-mail/SMS, a candidate is eligible to pay the Admission Fee.

To pay the fee, open the Admission Portal: https://admissions.mcmdav.com/stulogin In the lower left pane of opening Home Page; and Click on ‘Pay Admission Fee’ Button

Enter your Online Form No. received in e-mail/SMS and Click ‘Show‘ Button to pay fee (Fee can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or Paytm)

After paying the fee, student is required to fill the College Admission Form within 3 days (as explained in Step 2)

Note:

College uses the same e-mail and mobile number of the applicant for creating Login credentials that are used to fill the DHE form. In case a student has applied for any other course with the same email in the college then, she will be asked about an alternate email id as and when required.

Student should use different Email Ids, if they are applying for multiple courses

Step2: Filling Admission Form on College Admission Portal

Open the College Admission Portal (https://admissions.mcmdav.com/stulogin) and login (DO NOT Click On Register Button) with your registered User ID (Email). A verification email will be sent to the same email id. Open this mail and click “Activate” link. After activation you will be able to login to the College Admission portal with same email id/password.

Fill Admission Form, after reading the instructions carefully.

All the fields in all the tabs of the Online Form should be filled carefully.

All the columns marked (*) are mandatory.

Scanned Documents required for uploading :-

o Scanned photographs in .jpg, .png, format (not more than 50KB in size).

o Scanned copy of Applicant’s signature in .jpg, .png, (not more than 20 KB)

o Detailed mark sheets in pdf format (not be more than 300KB)

o BPL affidavit/certificate in pdf format (not be more than 300KB)

Upload photograph, signature image and the relevant and required documents.

Preview the Application Form and make corrections (if any).

Complete the Online Form. Incomplete forms cannot be submitted.

Changes in the form are not allowed after the Final Submission

Click Final Submission option at the bottom of Attachments Tab or from the Final Submission option in the left pane.

Check status of Fee Payment under Online Payments in left pane of the Dashboard

Fill Hostel Admission Form from same Dashboard, if the applicant wishes to avail College Hostel.

Along with printed copy of DHE form, College Admission Form, Hostel Form (If applied) and self-attested copies of certificates, all required original certificates should be brought for verification, whenever notified by the College Administration.

Important Instructions to be noted

A. All admissions are provisional and subject to:

Scrutiny of the Admission Forms.

Verification of original documents as per the guidelines issued by Panjab University, Chandigarh and DHE, UT, from time to time.

Completion of all the other College formalities.

Approval of Panjab University, Chandigarh. The College is not responsible if the University does not approve of the admission of a candidate due to any reason.

B. The admission will be cancelled if the applicant:

Makes incorrect or incomplete statements.

Conceals necessary information in the form.

Submits information that is false, incorrect or not supported by the documents presented.

C. The College reserves the right to refuse admission to an applicant.

Instructions for joining Classes of Centralized Courses

1. The classes will be held online through Google Meet or offline.

2. For online class, a College Email Id has been created for each student.

3. This Email Id will appear on student dashboard.

4. Each student will be invited on this Email Id by her subject teachers to join the Google Classroom.

5. When the student accepts the invite, she will join the Google Classroom.

6. On the basis of such invites, each student will become part of classes of different teachers of their respective subjects.

7. Each student is requested to familiarise herself with the Google Classroom and Google Meet.

Procedure to get admitted to Online Centralized Admission Courses in Mehr
