Eligibility for Master of Arts - English

The student must possess any one of the following qualifications :

1. B.A. with Honours in English / B.A. (General) with at least 45% marks in English as an Elective subject.

2. Bachelor’s degree in any faculty with at least 50% marks in the aggregate or Master’s degree in a subject other than English.

Eligibility for Master of Arts - Hindi

The student must possess any one of the following qualifications :

1. B.A. with Honours in Hindi / B.A.(General) with at least 45% marks in Hindi as an Elective subject.

2. Bachelor’s degree in any faculty with at least 50% marks in the aggregate or Master’s degree in a subject other than Hindi.

Eligibility for Master of Arts - Sociology

The student must possess any one of the following qualifications :

1. B.A. with Honours in Sociology / B.A. (General) with a least 45% marks in Sociology as an Elective subject.

2. Bachelor’s degree in any faculty with at least 50% marks in the aggregate or Master’s degree in a subject other than Sociology.

Eligibility for Master of Arts - Economics

The student must possess any one of the following qualifications :

1. B.A. with Honours in Economics / B.A. (General) with at least 45% marks in Economics as an Elective subject.

2. Bachelor’s degree in any faculty with at least 50% marks in the aggregate or Master’s degree in a subject other than Economics.

3. B.A. (General) in full subjects obtaining at least 45% marks in Economics as an Elective subject.

4. Master’s Degree in a subject other than Economics.

Eligibility for Master of Arts - Psychology

The student must possess any one of the following qualifications :

1. B.A. with Honours in Psychology/ Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as one of the subjects in graduation with at least 50% marks in graduation.

2. Students who have not studied Psychology in graduation are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility for M.Sc. (Chemistry)

Admission will be on the basis of entrance test (O-CET) conducted by the Panjab University. Only the rank holders in this entrance test will be considered for admission. 50% weightage will be given to the score in entrance test & 50% to the score in the qualifying examination. .

1. B.Sc. Examination of Panjab University or other University recognized by the Syndicate securing at least 50% marks in aggregate with Chemistry & Mathematics along with anyone of the following subjects :

a) Biochemistry

b) Botany

c) Geology

d) Physics

e) Statistic

f) Zoology

M.Sc. (Mathematics)

The students applying for this course must have scored minimum 65% marks in mathematics and 60% in aggregate in B.A./B.Sc.
