Campus Biodiversity

Biodiversity is the variety of living species on the Earth including plants, animals and microorganisms. It includes the diversity within species and between different species in terrestrial and aquatic habitats. Campus biodiversity survey is a field program that aims to determine the range/number of species, and distribution of flora and fauna in a nominated area for a specific time period.

Objectives

To investigate the existing biodiversity of the college campus.

To draw attention to the importance of a biologically diverse ecosystem.

Encourage teachers and students to learn, appreciate and support local biodiversity.

Encourage student participation in caring for their college campus and the environment.

Promote exchange of information and expertise in enhancing biodiversity in the college.
